Satpur hosts one of Nashik's two big MIDC industrial estates — Mahindra, Bosch and hundreds of ancillary units — and its residential colonies exist to serve them. Tenants are mostly factory employees and supervisors who want a five-minute commute. Rents are among the city's most affordable, and the Trimbak Road side adds newer societies with better amenities.
